What's with the name "Boozy Bars"?
It's a generalized term for all the many types of alcoholic beverages I've used to make these various soaps. Of all the types of soaps I make - tea bars, coconut water soaps, aloe vera juice bars, milk soaps, etc, Boozy Bars are by far my favorite. It's far more challenging than the others due to the inherent risk of working with something that is 90 proof (or thereabouts) and the many things that could go wrong. But they don't. We just get a fantastic bubbly bar of soap with gorgeous fragrances and no hangover in the morning. In case you're wondering, you will NOT smell like booze after using a Boozy Bar. The scent does not cross the saponification threshold. It's lost entirely during the process so all you're going to smell is one of the many memorable fragrances we use in our soaps. And speaking of which, we don't heavily scent our soaps. Many cannot use soaps with a lot of fragrance so I stay at the lower end of the fragrance allowance range. If you want a more potent version of one of ours, let me know via email and I'll whip up a custom batch just for you.
