Remember that commercial from the 70s? It's been 40 years since that commercial so I don't even recall what it was advertising, but the jingle bells chiming throughout the tune was a favorite of mine, never failing to bring that bright sparkle of fun, mystery, and magic to the moment. The scents that are hallmarks of this particular holiday are always in my top five and wish they could be as popular in June as they are in December, but usually no one wants to smell hot cocoa in June when it's 85 degrees outside. But a girl can dream.
We've added some wonderful scents to our roster for this years holiday scent selections to bring family gatherings & parties an even better atmosphere to wrap yourself and your guests in while the music plays, the food covers the tables and countertops, and childrens faces are lit up with eagerness to see what Santa brings them this year.
We now have a couple of familiar ones, one of which has a new name - White Christmas (formerly Snow Witch), plus the return of Humble Pie which to me smells like warm apple pie! Yum! We've also added Tobacco Road to add a warm touch of cured tobacco and old wood notes with a hint of sweetness. A few new ones are also here for your olfactory enjoyment. Lingonberry is like a sweet cranberry scent to my nose with just the right touch of crisp clean air mixed in. Want to add a little something extra? Add a drop of eucalyptus, balsam or fir needle and a light dash of spices (cinnamon, a grain to two of cloves & nutmeg) for an even better level of holiday cheer to the wax after it has melted. We added the warm, cozy scented Cashmere to this year's collection as well. This one is warm, inviting, sweet but not too sweet, aromatic resinous tones that entice, not overwhelm. I've never found a cashmere scent I liked until this one. It's like a luxurious sweater you wear for the best occasions and with every wearing you look and feel at your most beautiful. We've added Rose because of its rich yet subtle beauty with the purest dewy petals & stems scent like you'd experience when you step into a florists shop. I've never smelled anything like it! Just so elegant! Make Mine Chocolate, mentioned previously has been added to our wax melts as well as the bar soaps. It's lickably true to its name. It's a dead ringer for a seriously dark chocolate! Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater is both a wax melt and a bar soap. This one's a mouth watering blend of spices and pumpkin with the sugary sweetness of a pumpkin bread to bring them all together. Blood Orange is actually scented with an essential oil. It's a stronger orange note than a standard orange fragrance, with a richer sweeter scent that would mix very nicely with a touch of Make Mine Chocolate or Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater mixed in.
All of these plus the return of jarred candles are now up on the site, under Samplers, Bargain Bags, Wax Tarts. I flip back and forth between wax tarts and Wax Melts because many will know one name but not the other, but they're all the same thing.
Stay tuned for the holiday events to come. I have lots of things rolling around in my head for the coming weeks ahead!
